Dog Dish - Our Daily Dish

We had such a great turkey day! We started the day with a nap outside! Then mommie cooked too many eggs so she shared them with us! After she mashed the potatoes, she let us have the beaters! YUM YUM! Daddy "accidently" dropped a couple of pieces of turkey when he was carving it. That was actually kinda bad.. cuz it just made us want our turkey right then and there! When it was finally time for us to eat (which, by the way.. mommie still can't tell time.. Brie starts bugger her at "6:00" but for some reason she keeps telling us it's only 5.. sheesh!) Anyways... we got yummy, yummy turkey and gravy added to our food and we ate it all up! Even Tyler ate ALL his! To end the day.. we got to have a little bit of pumpkin pie crust. We begged for more pie.. but it didn't do any good!

We're so excited we can hardly contain ourselves! Tomorrow is turkey day! YUM YUM! We know we'll get some yummy turkey and even some gravy and taters and stuffing! We just LOVE Thanksgiving! Well, OK.. we like any holiday that revolves around food!

We shoulda posted on Monday cuz we had such a great day. We spent the WHOLE day outside with mommie and daddy. They were building this cool building and we supervised! The best part is that it was nice and cold! Poor momie was all bundled up with gloves on.. but we loved it! The colder the better!

This morning we got in trouble. We were outside barking and playing before mommie left for work. She came outside to tell us to be quiet and make us come in the house. Well... we didn't want to go in the house so when she told us "in the house" we went the opposite way (tee hee). So then she steps outside the door (uh oh) and says more stermly while walking toward us "in the house" and... you guessed it.. we ran the other way... she came toward us to grab us by the collar and lead us in the house and we decided it was a good time to play tag with mommie being "it"! lol! We don't think mommie was amused.. she called us "rotten" and "brats". Hmph.....

November 22, 2003

BRRRRRRRR! It was cold today and we just loved it! We didn't want to be inside at all! We slept outside and didn't even look in the window when mommie and daddy were in the kitchen making lunch (which is VERY unusual for Brie!). I think mommie was a little miffed at Brie cuz she woke mommie up at 2:30 and again at 5:30 to go outside. Mommie didn't say too much.. but we know she doesn't like to be woken up at night!

We're a little confused. Daddy carried in a box that smelled like it came from that place mommie orders stuff for us.. but they wouldn't let us see in it!?! Mommie put it in the closet and didn't give us anything but new rakes.. like we needed any more of those.. they comb us too much as is!

Ya know what...??? There are some dogs in mommie's computer! We heard them but can't find them... They were barking and having fun.. then they just stopped... mommie seemed to think it was amusing that we couldn't find the dogs she's hiding!

We were very busy today! Daddy was outside working in the yard and we helped! We are such good helpers that over the weekend while we were outside and everyone else was inside.. we decided to help with the digging! We got to play one of our favorite outside games.. chase and bark at the red ball! We play it kinda like soccer: Brie pushes it all over the yard with her snout while barking the whole time and Tyler barks and barks at Brie! Fun!

We got so pooped out from all the working and playing that we had to take a nap! It was nice cuz it was us, daddy, Bailey and Jasmine all laying on the floor together!

Whoa! What was that stuff? Mommie got out a container and it smelled really good! then she stuck a couple of my toys in it! Bailey just looked at the toys.. he's so lazy! But I played and played! I hope mommie gets that stuff out again soon!

WOW! It RAINED all day today! And you know what!? WE didn't get to play in it! Nope.. just got to to out to.. well.. you know.. then had to come right back in! What made it even worse.. it's nice and COLD outside too! And you all know how much we love the cold (and rain and dirt!?) Instead we had to entertain ourselves inside. Maybe it will still be raining tomorrow and we'll get to go play in it!? We can hope!

We've been hearing about SNOW on the TV. We hope this means that we'll be going to play in it soon! It's not that far away and we love riding in the truck anyways! (You know.. mommy still hasn't let us in her car! We have to go in daddy's truck.. hmph! You'd think we were hairy or dirty or something!)

November 10, 2003

We had SO much fun today! Normally when we go outside, we just hang out with each other, bark at things we hear outside the fence, or nap. Not today! Daddy was outside cleaning out our dog pool area and we supervised! We barked and watched the bugs and helped daddy! For a while they tried to keep us inside while daddy went to ride his bike. He thought we'd get into stuff (knows us, eh?) Big Mouth Tyler barked almost constantly for mommie to let him outside! Mean mommie threatened to muzzle him! HMPH!

You are NOT going to believe this! Mommie STILL can't tell time! She makes us wait an hour later to feed us even though we (well OK.. Brie) keeps reminding her it's time to eat NOW! Mommie bought Brie a new bag of food and it wasn't Lite this time! Yay! We are gonna get weighed more often though and no doubt the lite will be back if the scale moves too much!

We have been loving being outside! It's so cool now so we beg to go out! If they ignore the bell we paw either mommie or daddy til they get sick of us bugging them! Mommie tries to tell us we are samoyeds and thus belong inside with our family.. but they need to understand it is COOL outside!

Did you all get a lot of trick or treaters? Or better yet.. go trick or treating yourself??? We only had 6 visitors. On little boy saw us and said "Snow Dogs"! We were pretty good, we did bark when the doorbell rang, but daddy held us back and mommie gave away the candy (she wouldn't give us any though! meanie!) At least she didn't dress us up this year like she has other years!

We must be growing up! Mommie left the bedroom door open for us two days in a row now! You see, she always closed the bedroom and computer room doors when she left for work. But we like to sleep in the bedroom sometimes. Yesterday was a test and even though we knocked two things off daddy's dresser and pulled mommie's robe tie into the hall.. we musta passed!

Mommie redecorated our bathroom. It's cute.. done with kitties and doggies! The only thing was, when she was done cleaning she had the audacity to not want us on the counter or Bailey in the sink (where he likes to sleep). Each time we or he would jump up, she'd promptly put us back on the floor. Well Bailey fixed her... he went in their bathroom and slept in their sink! lol!
