May 27th, 2003Mommie has been taking a lot of pictures of the new kittie and hopefully she will have her very own webpage soon! She's been really busy playing and wrestling with Bailey. They get in trouble cuz when it's supposed to be bed time and they run up and down the hall and wrestle and meow and keep everyone awake! They were both pretty wet last night cuz they kept getting squirted!
We still haven't named her yet. We've narrowed it down to three we like. Here they are in alphabetical order. Choose which one you like best or you think fits her best.

May 24th, 2003Bailey's Post:
OK, so what's the deal? I live here for all these weeks thinking that I'm King of the House. Then all the sudden there's another cat here! What's up with that? I'll tell you I was NOT a happy camper. I made sure she knew it too, by giving her the kitty growl. Do you know she had the nerve to not even be phased by it!?! I had to follow her around at first, cuz she was exploring the living room. Mommie showed her my kittie tower and the little brat moved right in! She even took a nap in the top of it! The nerve!
You would have thought that my dogs would show a little respect for me and tell her who's boss. Nope. Traitors were sniffiing and slobbering all over her! She never even hissed at them either! They forget so easily that I'm the one who sleeps with them and gives them kittie massages (and bites their legs).
I finally gave in and played with her though. It is kinda fun having another fuzzy that's closer to my own size. Of course, I made sure to bip her on the head a few times so she wouldn't think I really liked her or anything like that!

Well, I'm gonna go see what she's up to and if I can terrorize her.. errrr.. I mean play with her some more!

Brie and Tyler's Post:
YAY! We got another kittie! Well, technically it is Brie's kittie (since Bailey is Tyler's kittie). Mommie tries to sneak her in, but she didn't like being in her carrier and meowed. We were smart enough to figure out the Bailey was in the room with us and that noise was coming from the other room! That was it.. we didn't shut up after that (we, especially Brie with her high pictched yip, gave mommie a headache!)
We weren't supposed to meet the new kittie til daddy got home, but Tyler escaped past the gate. She likes us! She never even hissed at us once! Nope! Not at all! We kinda slimed her cuz we were sniffing and kissing her. She's already playing games with us (when mommie or daddy aren't telling us to lay down or leave the kittie alone).
Mommie tried to distract us by filling our pool. We played for a while, but then it was time to get back in the house and see what the kittie was up to. Mommie had a different idea though, she actually locked us in the kitchen telling us we had to dry first! After much more annoying yipping, she got out our dryer and dried us! See how well trained our mommie is!?!
Hopefully tomorrow mommie will get some good pics. She took a bunch today but they aren't so great (the kittie moves before the shot!)
We're off to see what our new kittie's up to!

May 22th, 2003Yesterday was a sad day for us. One year ago our kittie sister, Kassie went to Rainbow Bridge. We still miss her.

Bailey's been at it again! He did NOT want to go to sleep last night and we even got in on the act! No sooner than mommie would be dozing off and she'd hear Bailey (and us) playing! He finally got pooped out some time after midnight, but then this morning after daddy got up, he refused to go back to bed til it was time for mommie to get up! Mommie kept hearing him and finally got up and found him, of all places, in the hamper!?! She hasn't figured out yet how he managed to get in there and we aren't telling! (He thought it was just a cool place to play!)
We're getting really excited about getting our new sister! We can hardly wait until Saturday. We haven't picked out a name yet.
Look around at our dish links... we got some cute new graphics! Karen at RecycleBin made us a card, archive, and treat graphic and mommie even had her make one for Brie's diet page. That one is mommie's favorite one, but Brie doesn't think it's funny! We also got a new Adoption Doghouse set.

This getting wet is getting old! I can't do ANYTHING without getting wet! Yesterday when mommie was loading the dishwasher I decided to get in and check it out. I got blasted with that dumb ole squirt bottle (and not just once or twice, cuz I'm stubborn.)

May 17th, 2003What an exciting day!!! First mommie told us she we are getting a gurl kittie! Yay! That means we'll be even steven! 3 gurls and 3 boyz in the family! She left us all home alone today and went to visit the kitties at the shelter. While she was there she called daddy and he said to go ahead and do the paperwork to adopt the kittie she wanted. Now if picking her name would be that easy! We posted 3 pics from today of our new sister!
But first we wanted to show you this adorable picture of Bailey on mommie's desk:

OK, here's the pics of our new sister (doesn't she have the sweetest little face!?!):
Sooooo when mommie got home, she was talking on the phone when she walked in the house. As soon as she let us out of our crates we had to sniff her to smell all the good kittie/shelter smells. So mommie sits in the middle of the floor so we can sniff her really good. Tyler runs out to the kitchen and comes trotting back with the black and white wiggly thing in his mouth. WE NEVER SAW MOMMIE MOVE SO FAST! and LOUD! goodness! Poor grandpa (who she was talking to on the phone.. we think she made him deaf!) Why was mommie screaming? There was a snake in our house and Tyler was so proud and all mommie could do was SCREAM! We decided it was our duty to protect mommie, so we chased that bad ole snake over to the entertainment center.. but it got away from us! Daddy was at work so made us go outside (where we barked and barked and barked to be let back in!) Poor Bailey had to go in his carrier in his room. When daddy got home he got the snake and set it free in the desert across the street. (We don't know why they always get rid of our toys!)

May 16th, 2003We're sorry about not posting or visiting in so long! It's all mommie's fault! She's been tired and going to bed early, so that means we have to go to bed early too! The nerve!
We hear that mommie let the cat out of the bag (lol!) and told you in her blog that Bailey is getting a buddy! We are all so excited. This time it will be Brie's kitty (Bailey is Tyler's kitty.) Mommie hasn't seen them since they looked like little rats just a few days old. Well last Saturday she left us home and went to visit all of them. She brought us home some pictures and we want to share one of them with you for now, til we pick out a few more to show.
The cute little orange one isn't part of the litter, but since he's the same age he gets to hang out with the other four. From left to right: girl, girl, boy, orange boy and black boy. Aren't they just TOO cute!? Hopefully on Tuesday when daddy goes to visit them, we'll know which one is ours and then next Friday night he or she will come here to live with us! (Mommie wants the 2nd little girl from the right.)

May 7th, 2003Hello and woof woof! We gave mommie a little tip last night and it seemed to work! You see, she was upset that Bailey wakes her up too early. So we told her instead of letting him rest and sleep in the evening, we need to keep him really active! Well she took our advice and hung the mouse on the door. Bailey played with it til he was plum tuckered out! Our tip worked so well that when the alarm went off at 5:25, all Bailey did was move from the headboard onto the bed next to mommie. He wasn't ready to get up yet! We're trying it again tonight! She gave him the mouse toy about 1 1/2 hours ago and he's been playing and playing! (The only thing that makes us mad is we aren't allowed to play with the dumb ole chirping mouse!)
You're not gonna believe what mean mommie did!!! Tyler was laying in the middle of the yard next to a brand new touquoise and black football. Mean mommie walked out to the yard, picked up the football and tossed it over the fence! ACK! She kept saying she was sorry but it wasn't ours! But if the little boy next door threw it over the fence, didn't we WANT us to have it? Next time we'll hide it from her! Hmph!

We've been playing new games with Bailey! Today Brie was playing with the new ducky stuffie and Bailey came over... and Brie was trying to get him to play with it with her! (mommie said "awwwww good girl") Even Tyler came over and said "aroo-oo-oo".
However we DON'T like when he bites our legs! He loves to knead us when we are napping (kittie massages).. and that's cool cuz his little claws don't go through all our fur. But when he gets all rambunctious and bites our legs.. we look at mommie to rescue us!
We tried to get around to tag today.. but bad ole tag board was acting up... so we gave up and we'll try again tomorrow!

Bailey's Babble:
HEY! Why didn't someone warn me????? Mommie and daddy took me to the vet on friday... what a horrible place!!! First they stuck me with a needle! OUCH! What's up with that? Then, that mean ole vet squirted some yucky tasting orange stuff in my mouth! I don't think I'm gonna be too happy next time mommie puts me in my carrier! As a matter of fact.. I'm gonna run and HIDE from her!
I don't understand why Brie and Tyler get to go outside, but when I come running... they either block me with their foot or scoop me up and close the door! I thought dogs were supposed to go outside.. but I'm being kept a prisoner in the house!
Daddy was teaching me a new game: Fetch! I was chasing around my shiny purple fuzzy ball thing. I would take it to daddy and you know what he did? He took it and threw it! What's the deal? Why do I want to take it to him if he's gonna just take it and throw it away?
I guess I'm going through my rebellious phase. I've taken to play biting and no one likes it! Not Brie, not Tyler, not mommie and not daddy! I'm just trying to play! But I see that mommie has a squirt bottle handy...

May 1st, 2003Hi everyone! We have the coolest new game to play! Mommie likes it, cuz she says now she has an excuse to never make the bed (something about our house being maintained for the comfort and pleasure of the animals!) You see, in the morning mommie always pulls the sheets and blankies all the way back so that they almost hang to the floor. Well, Bailey likes to play hide-n-seek behind them with us! He peeks out and we try to nose him! Sometimes we just lay there and watch for him to move. Games are so fun!
Poor Bailey is so confused! Now he comes running when mommie opens the door for us to go outside. He figures the dogs are going out, so he (thinking he's a dog) needs to go too! We don't think he's figured out yet that he's a cat and MUST remain INSIDE! Lil fella plays with our toys and bones!
Mommie got us all new dog tags! We needed some with the new cell numbers on them and Bailey needed one! His looks so cute! He has a little black bow tie! We'll make sure mommie takes a pic and posts it real soon!
