Hi everyone!  Sorry we've been so quiet in here.  Of course we all know that's not like a samoyed!

We were very sad to hear that our blog buddy Artie wasn't feeling well.  However we were very happy to get a message from his mommie that he's on the mend and getting better!  We're hoping he'll be back to his ole self real soon!

We've just been doing our typical, daily sammie stuff:  taking care of mommie and daddy, begging for food, barking, playing, sleeping!

Unfortunately the begging for food isn't going to get us much.  Daddy even used that rude word to describe brie!    Mommie tries to disguise it with other words like chunky monkey, or piggie.. but daddy blatantly called Brie.. oh we can't even write it cuz it's so awful!  (We'll give you a hint:  it's 3 letters and starts with F)  So tonight before we ate, mommie weighed Brie.  Not good :o(  So if any of you have any spare cookies stashed away for a poor, starving samoyed... just toss them this way!

Time for us to get our beauty sleep!  Woof Woof!

We had so much fun today!  We went on a loooooooooooooooooong hike in the desert!  And it was to an area we hadn't been before, so lots of new smells to sniff!  We knew something was up when daddy got our backpacks out!  There were lots of rocks to climb and lizards to try to chase and other smells to sniff!  We like hiking in the desert so much better than walking in the neighborhood!

When we got home we were all pooped out and had to rest before we could watch the superbowl!  We both got a carrot as a snack and Tyler even ate all of his!  Later mommie shared a couple of her chips and chili-cheese dip with us!

We think we'll just rest and take it easy the rest of the night, after we get our dinner that is!

Hey everyone!  Well, not to sound like a broken record, but can you believe mommy and daddy left us again last night!?!  Something about picking up some dumb phones!  Who needs phones anyways?  Just howl!  At least they weren't gone as long this time.

Before they left, mommie tried to play ball with us like daddy does:  he throws the tennis ball on the roof then brie catches it as it comes off (and tyler barks at brie).  Well, mommie throws like a gurrrrrrl and kept hitting the house instead!  So she decided to just throw it down the yard instead!  Good thing she didn't break a window!

Today we've been spending the day outside!  I guess mommie is trying to redeem herself for leaving us the last two nights cuz she knows how much we love to be outside!  It's so nice out that she has the door open so we can come in or go out as we please (and of course we chose to be out!)  Once daddy gets home from work we'll go for our walkies!  YAY!!!!

Well, we think it's time for another nap!

OK!  Who of you would like to have 2 cute, loveable samoyed come live with you?  We need to find a home that appreciates us and doesn't STARVE us!  You see, mommie and daddy came home from work.  Mommie gave us a big cookie then we went outside and had some playtime (you should have seen us herding mommie!  too funny!)  Then, instead of taking us for walkies, we had to go back in our crates!  WHAT!?!

6:00 (dinnertime) came and went and we were still in our crates and mommie and daddy weren't home!  HOW MEAN!  They did finally come home but did mommie feed us right away?  NO!  She always tells us we have to calm down first.  She refused to feed excited puppies!  Tyler got to chew on a water bottle and Brie sat in mommie's lap, but that didn't appease us, we wanted FOOD!  Finally mommie thought we were calm and got food...  thank goodness!  We were withering away to nothing!

Lookie!  We adopted Peanut so she could be here to play with us all the time!  She even brought some of her balls with us!  We're going to add her to our adoptions page along with our other cute adoptions!

Now we need to get our beauty sleep (and our bedtime cookie!)

Happy First Birthday to our Bloggin' galpal, Peanut!!!

Look what we got!  CAKE!  Peanut had a birthday party at her blog and had yummy cake!  If you want to visit her and see her nifty neato presents and have a piece of cake with her (we didn't eat it all!) just click on her to be whisked off to her blog!

We got stuck in our crates for a while today :o(  Normally on Tuesday's daddy is home with us.  But today he left.  However when he came home, he brought two HUGE bags of dog food for us!  Heh heh... We are pains in the butt and they have to buy two kinds of food:  Hi energy Hi calorie for Tyler and Lite for Brie!  And to think mommie and daddy thought it was going to be easy after Tyler was off puppy food!  tee hee  Anyways, we decided it was OK that he was gone for a while!

We were back to our normal neighborhood walkies tonight, but it was still fun!  Now if we could just convince mommie it's time to eat already, we'd we all set (She makes us wait until 6:00)

OK, here is our Tuesday This or That:

1. Super Bowl or World Series?  Superbowl!  Cuz Daddy watches it an usually has yummy treats!  Plus we have a fuzzy football we play with!
2. Winter or summer?  Uhm, isn't this one obvious???  Winter with LOTS and LOTS and LOTS of snow!
3. Look up numbers in the phone book, or call directory assistance?  We aren't allowed to use the phone by ourselves.
4. Mashed potatoes or French fries?  Both!
5. Hand-code your website, or use an editor (such as Front Page)?  We use two editors (Adobe PageMill and FrontPage) and Paw-code when we need to tweak something.
6. Freeway or winding country road?  Winding country roads with lotsa stops to play and sniff!
7. Star Wars or Star Trek?  Star Wars cuz we'd like Wookie to come play with us!
8. Disney or Warner Brothers cartoons?  Disney's Dalmations and Snow Dogs, of course!
9. When it feels chilly in the house: crank up the heat or put on a sweater?  Open up the doors and windows and let MORE cold in!  Oh, sorry.. that's our dream.  Mommie wears warm jammies and still turns the heat too high for our liking!
10. CBS or PBS?  Since it's the choice:  Neither.  Animal Planet!  WOOF!

Sorry about not posting yesterday!  We meant to, but we got kinda sidetracked (we sound like mommie now!)  We wanted to write and tell you about our fun walkies!  Instead of just staying on the road and walking around the neighborhood, we went out in the desert for a nice little hike!  We played king and queen of the mountain and ran and sniffed and sniffed and sniffed!  We were so pooped when we got home that we too a nice long nap!

We got wet this morning!  Yep!  It really rained!!!  We were loving it!  Daddy ruined our fun though and made us come in the house!  We tried giving mom the "oh poor us" look, but it didn't work.  Then it was over.  :o(  We love rain!

After yesterday, imagine our surprise when we got to go back in the desert today!  This time we went a different route.  Peanut's goats have been rubbing off on us.. you should have seen us climbing around the rocks!  Mommie kept calling us billy goats!  Baaaaaaa baaaaa!  I think today musta been some sort of doggie holiday, cuz a while after we got back we both got a pig's ear!  What a wonderful treat!  We're gonna be ready for bed early after the nice day we had!

We love seeing all the doggie and kittie bloggers coming by!  It's so much fun to have you visit and for us to visit with you!

A special note for Artie:  Don't be afraid to visit!  We love kitties and we know how to behave.  We never had a choice but to understand that kitties in the house are queen (or king) and doggies must be nice and absolutely no chasing!  Tyler especially is happy to happy to have you visit cuz he loves kitties the mostest!  Mommie even says he acts like a cat a lot of times!  Before Kassie went to Rainbow Bridge, mommie used to say the best mornings were the morning that all three of us were in bed!

Lookie!  We finally have a linkie!

Isn't it cute!  This really nice lady at Recycle Bin named Karen made it for us along with this cute, fun blog set!  I think we should have a group howl to thank her!  AROO-OO-OO.  And a great, big, sloppy dog kiss from each of us too!

'We forgot to mention the other day that we have a new buddy helping us here at the Dog Dish:

He stays right here, guarding out blog for us 24/7!  If you would like him to come and guard your blog, just visit our adoption's doghouse!  Our Watchdog was made by another Karen from Eternal Angel Graphics.

We had a lazy Saturday.  Mommie let us spend some time napping in the yard.  We went on our daily walk and even got to run a short distance.  That noisy dog at the corner was out and barked the whole time we were walking by.  Not to be outdone, of course, we both barked back at him!

We didn't get a chance to blog hop tonight cuz we were very busy working on our new graphics!  We hope all our new buddies understand!  We did see that Dinkey came by to visit since we all made so much noise playing and digging and barking at his blog!

It's late now and we both need our beauty sleep.

Til we dish again...

Oopsie!  We missed a day!

Mom caught on to Brie's digging.  It didn't work yesterday.  No sympathy and no lunchtime visit.  Mom's aren't trained as easily as doggies are!

We got one of our favoritest treats in the whole wide world last night!  Mommie boiled us some eggs!  YAY!  YUM YUM!  Once we figured out she had made them, we bugged and bugged her til she finally gave in and gave us one!  What's even better is we got another one with our dinner tonight!  Our mom rocks!

We're all the way off house arrest!  Mommie and daddy didn't put the gate across the hall at all!  We've been good, so far.  Gotta get them comfortable so they'll let their guards down and leave something yummy at sammie height!

Here is our Friday Five:

1. Where do you currently work?  From home.  We are SAHD's
2. How many other jobs have you had and where?  Our jobs include:  being house guard dogs, yard guard dogs, burglar alarms (not that we've ever had a burgler "knock on wood"),  door bells,  UPS alarms (he just drives by and we bark at him!),  "dr's" (we lick booboo's), garbage disposals (we wish they would drop MORE stuff for us to clean up!), good will ambassadors (we get our pictures taken a lot with strangers when we go places).  Brie has the special job of being the kitchen helper and bathtub cleaner helper!  If mommie or daddy are ever in the kitchen, so is Brie!  And when mommie cleans the bathtub, Brie is right there (strange since she hates baths!?)
3. What do you like best about your job?  Getting treats, pets and hugs.
4. What do you like least about your job?  When mommie and daddy aren't home with us.
5. What is your dream job?
Brie:  one where she can eat constantly!  Tyler:  one that included rooms and rooms of bones!

How fun tonight was!  We just got done playing tag with all the other doggie bloggers!  WOOF!

This morning started out with us STILL under house arrest!  The nerve!  The whole time mommie was getting ready for work, that nasty jail gate was across the hall blocking us from the living room and food room!  However Brie got mommie good!  Mommie let us out, as usual, to potty before crating us.  Well Brie started digging in her crate like a mad dog!  (Good move, Brie!)  Mommie was startled and let her out to check her over.  She was fine.  Mommie put her back in her crate and Brie started digging again!?!  So worry wart, prone to panic mom called daddy.  Brie got to get out of her crate AGAIN while mommie checked her over.  She looked fine, so in the crate and mommie left for work.  Well imagine our surprise when mommie showed up at lunch time to check on the little faker!!!  We got to go outside and play ball and have a little outside nap before she went back to work!  I think Brie paid mommie back for arresting us!

Tonight we were only on modified house arrest (mommie doesn't forget our naughtiness too soon!)  We did get to play and nap outside a while, but then daddy reminded mommy that we are house dogs (hmph!) and in we came and up went the gate blocking us in the back part of the house with mommie and daddy!  It's ok though, we were pooped and ready to nap by then!

S.O.S.  Help!!!

We need all you doggie bloggers to come help us!  We need to be broken out of doggie jail!!!  Daddy put us under Doggie House Arrest!   It's not like we did anything wrong.  (well, not really)  They are such meanies!  It all started when daddy walked into the living room and Brie had been eating a paper towel... but not just any paper towel... it was the paper towel that mommies had wrapped her little bitty Hallmark ornaments in that she had forgotten to put away and left sitting on the coffee table til she stopped procrastinating and put in the tree decorations box.  Now how was brie supposed to know not to eat that particular paper towel (never mind that we aren't supposed to take ANYTHING off the coffee table).    Daddy found mommie's little ornaments all over the floor... he doesn't think she ate any of them!

Daddy told mommie he would have excused that... except  Brie (again) got in trouble in the backyard!  You see, daddy is working on refurbishing a camper.. and Brie likes to get in it and snoop (the door is off it)  Well mommie has told daddy to put the door back up til he is ready to work on it again, but noooo that's too much trouble.. he put a milk crate in the doorway to block us out.  Now do you guys really think that stopped Brie?  Uhm.. NO!  Daddy went outside and found Brie IN the camper and some of his wires chewed (it's not plugged in)  Daddy was M-A-D and that's when we got put on house arrest!

We were allowed to greet mommie at the door when she came home.. but our joy was soon thwarted when daddy came out and told on us!  (meanie!)

Thank goodness we still got to go for our walkies!  However even that turned out kinda bad (we've had a bad day!)  We were pulling really bad and acting up and we got lots of talkings too!  We had to "heel" a lot too, which we really hate when on walkies cuz that's our sniffy have fun time!

Now you woulda thought mommie woulda considered that Brie redeemed herself and we'da been sprung!  You see mommie is paranoid of our choke collars and always hooks our regular collars on the leash too, as a precaution.  She also harps on daddy about this (mommie is very paranoid about us running off or getting hurt!)  Well after Brie and mommie walked by "wild dog's" house and Brie was sitting nicely waiting for naughty, barking Tyler and daddy to catch up, mommie had turned around to watch (daddy was talking to Tyler about his behaviour).  Then she turns back around and Brie had started walkies again.. except  mommie only had the leash and choker  in her hand and not on Brie on the other end!!  Mommie almost had a heatattack!!!!!!!!!!!  (You see.. earlier in the walk daddy had unhooked the red collar from the choker saying it doesn't work when they are both hooked together and that was why she was pulling.. but we won't get into mommie's "I told you so")  Mommie says thank God it was at the end of the walk and Brie had chilled.. cuz mommie said sit and Brie actually sat!  Phew!!!!!!!!!!!  Needless to say, Brie's red collar was immediately added to the hook and neither Brie nor Tyler will EVER go on walkies or leave the house unless secured to both collars!

So anyways, if you fellow bloggers can come spring us from doggie jail, we would be most appreciative!  It really stinks having to stay in the house!  And it's even worse when we can only be in the same room with mommie and daddy and can't go in the living room and get in trouble.. errrr we mean be good dogs and not do anything naughty!

We are so excited about all the new doggie bloggers!  Today we found 2 more!  That makes a total of 5 doggie bloggers!  Check our "reads" to visit them!  We are schooling Artie on convincing his mom he needs a blog!  (Yes, Artie, when you are as cute as you are, no means maybe!)  We need a kittie or two or three to blog with us!  Speaking of kitties.... hint hint to mommie.. we would love to have another kittie in our house!

We got in lotsa trouble on our walkies today.. mommie kept telling us how we embarrassed her!  I don't know what she's talking about.. we were just super-excited and barking and bouncing a LOT whenever we walked by other doggies' yards!  Nothing embarrassing about that!  Mom's are so sensitive!

Mommie is kicking us off the computer.  Something about valentines day and decorations.. it doesn't involve food, walkies or playing, so we don't much care!

Til we dish with you again,

We are snow happy today!  And we bet ya can't guess why!?!  We went to the snow today!  WOO HOO!! YAY!  YIPPEE!!!  We knew this was gonna be a good day when we got to eat right as soon as we got up!  It turned a little sour when mommie had to give us a 5 minute combing (yuck!)  And to add insult to injury, she trimmed the extra fur from the bottom of our feet!  We were both extremely upset and mouthy about that!  However had we known why, we might have not been so mouthy!

Daddy piled us all in the truck, got us all seat belted in (yes, we wear harnesses and seatbelts).  We weren't sure, at first, if we were just going for a ride around the block like mommie told us, or going somewhere good!  Well about 1 1/2 hours later we knew!  We got so excited when we could see the snow!  We could hardly stand still long enough to get our backpacks one!  We wanted to GO!

We walked and walked and climbed hills and bounded through the snow and sniffed and made yellow snow!  It was so much fun!  When we stopped for breaks, Tyler kept getting in trouble cuz he kept eating the snow!   (no.. .not the yellow kind.. ewwwwwwwwww!)  We were sad when it was time to head back to the truck.. but we were kinda glad too.. we were a little bit pooped!

Here are some little pics:

Brie playing Queen of the Mountain Bounding through the snow!

Tyler resting and happy! Break time!

Brie up to her shoulders in snow!

We will have mommie make us a new page for our web album with bigger pics real soon!

We slept most of the way home, unlike on the way there!  Once we got home, mommie gave us a 2nd treat:  a pig's ear!  What a perfect day this is turning out to be!  As soon as we finish writing about our adventure, we are going to go outside and take a nap!

WOOF! WOOF!  Today was such a good day!  First of all, mommie fed us right as soon as she got up and didn't keep telling us "just one more minute" while she played on here!  We love mommie!  Then she let us lay in the dirt outside instead of being cooped up inside!   This afternoon she threw the tennis ball for us (except Tyler kept barking and barking so she said we had to stop!)  Brie runs and gets it and Tyler barks at Brie!  Such a fun game!

When daddy got home we went for our walkies!  (We always have to wait for daddy cuz a bad dog tried to attack us once and scared mommie really bad!)  Again Tyler didn't stop barking!  We even took an extra little side trip on a dirt bike trail!  We watched Signs with mommie and daddy tonight.  Some dogs got into our house during the movie!  We couldn't figure out where they  were!  We heard them barking, but we couldn't find them!?  The movie's over and the dogs are gone now, so they musta figured out this was our house!

Time to go chew a bone or take a nap!

January 10th, 2003

Hello and WOOF! Tonight we thought we would tell you how mean mommie is to us (or perhaps how naughty Brie is!) First we need to give you a little background:

Brie is a chow-hound. She lives for F-O-O-D (she got into the food once and gorged herself to the point she had to go to the vet's for an after hours emergency visit!)

Well at "breakfast" (both morning and evening meals are "breakfast") we are supposed to sit nicely out of the kitchen (all paws on the carpet) while mommie prepares our meal. Tyler, is always good about this. He takes no chances and he's several inches back on the carpet. Even when mommie is adding Tyler's favorite to his food: hard boiled eggs, Tyler sits nicely all the way out of the kitchen. Brie is another story. She always pushes the limits, ends up with one or two paws off the carpet. She even gets so excited about getting food that she'll forget herself and get all the way in the kitchen! Tonight was no different. Mommie says "out of the kitchen" and Brie talks back "aroo roo roo roo" (translation: I'm withering away to nothing! Feed me NOW!) but grudgingly backs up (literally backs up) out of the kitchen and talks about how hungry she is the whole time mommie's making "breakfast". What we don't understand is why mommie won't let us eat whenever we want and how much we want and even what we want (like what they are eating!) It seems really mean to us that she monitors the amount of food we get and the time for us to eat! Do the rest of you have this problem with your mommie and daddy's? We think (actually Brie thinks) we need to stage a Doggie and Kittie protest demanding more eating times and more food! Oh, and of course, throw the scale away! It never fails when daddy weighs us: Brie gets her food cut and Tyler gets told to eat more!

Our Friday Five:
1. Where are you right now? in the computer room
2. What time is it? 8:44 p.m.
3. What are you wearing? a red collar
4. Any people or animals around you? yes Describe them. each other (brie and tyler) and mommie
5. What are your plans for the weekend? sleep, eat, bark, chew bones, go for walkies, play, dig holes if mommie and daddy let us outside long enough

Lookie what we adopted from Kellie's!

GOTCHA!

Hello! We've decided to join the world of blogging! Typically samoyeds like to talk. So this gives us a place to tell you about our day to day life and vent when mommie doesn''t feed us and stuff like that! Today was just another typical 'mommie & daddy workday" for us!  Thank goodness both of them were working so we got to eat at a decent time! You see, when one of them stays home, we have to wait til the one that's home decides to get up to get any food, lame, huh!?  No matter how much Brie pesters, cajoles, follows, begs, we have to wait!

We particularly enjoyed our walkies today cuz it was cold and still damp outside from the rain yesterday. Tyler kept getting yelled at cuz he has the BIGGEST mouth and thinks he has to bark the whole time he's walking.

For some reason we only get to go out and have to come right back.  We guess it's so we don't dig and play in the mud (are your mommies and daddy's mean like that too?)

We've been working really hard on our blog all evening so we could publish it!  It's a little plain right now, but give us some time and we'll have a fancy place here for you to visit!
